The Communities of Southwest Georgia are invited to participate in the following activities in support of the victims of domestic violence.

October 1-October 29 – FLAG Display: In Memory of Victims of Domestic Violence – APD Dawson Road Precinct
October 3rd – Butterfly Release, Ray Charles Plaza, 12:00Noon – 1:00
October 5th - LUNCH AND LEARN “The Criminal Justice System: Serving Victims & Holding Batterers Accountable” Darton College- Room# B-101 – 12:00noon – 1:30PM -Reservation Required by Oct 3rd – Cost $7.00
October 7th – “2nd Annual Pearls and Possibilities Gala” at Café 230 –Tickets $25.00
Dinner, Drinks (Beer and Wine), Dancing, Live Music, Live & Silent Auction
October 13th – Symposium “Dating Violence & Social Networking” Darton College- Room# B-101 – 11:30am – 1:00PM
October 15th – Mall display “Handprint Project Boards” 10:00am-2:00pm
October 19th – “Attorney discussion: Family Law as it relates to domestic violence victims” Episcopal Church of Saint John & Saint Mark- 2425 Cherry Laurel Lane- 12:00noon-1:30- Lunch provided-Reservation Required by Oct 17th
October 22nd – Mall display “empty seat at the table” 10:00am- 2:00pm
October 27th – “Shine the Light on Domestic Violence” candlelight vigil/silent witness walk, Veteran’s Park Amphitheater 7:00pm – 8:30pm. Line up for silent walk is at 6:45pm in the parking lot of the department of family and children services -200 W Oglethorpe Blvd
