Liberty House, established in 1981, is a nonprofit agency in Dougherty County that provides comprehensive service for domestic violence victims, their children, families, and friends. Liberty House also provides referral information to perpetrators of domestic violence. It is the philosophy of Liberty House that domestic violence is not a private problem, but one that must be recognized and responded to by the entire community. Liberty House is committed to working collaboratively with the community to raise awareness, strengthen policies and improve coordination to support survivors and end violence.

Liberty House services are supported through federal, state, and local foundation grants, direct contributions and fundraising. Liberty House is also a member agency of the United Way. Services are free for victims, their families and friends.
